

Heart Waffles for Mum
Whip up the perfect breakfast for mum in less than 15 minutes with these quick and easy Heart Waffles. Adorn the waffles with mum’s favourite fruit and toppings of choice.
Ingredients (makes 8 waffles):
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1.5 cups milk
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- Olive oil spray
Peanut butter & banana waffle:
- 2 tbsp peanut butter
- ½ banana (sliced)
- 1 tbsp white choc chip
Blueberry waffle:
- 2 tbsp mixed berry yogurt
- ¼ punnet blueberries
Strawberry waffle:
- 2 tbsp ricotta
- 4 strawberries (finely sliced)
- 1 tsp honey
Mango waffle:
- 4 tbsp Greek yoghurt
- 8 slices of mango
- 1 tsp shredded coconut
Method:
- Mix together the dry pancake ingredients, then add the wet ingredients. Whisk together then let sit for 5 minutes
- Heat up the waffle maker, lightly spray with olive oil and pour in ½ a ladle of mixture or until the heart is whole. Keep it closed for 2-3 minutes and remove it with a spatula when cooked to your liking. Repeat with the remaining mixture.
- Assemble each heart with the above ingredients to decorate the waffles!
